i love anything depicting birds, probably because they seem so free. the thought of being a bird for a day, and getting to soar above the world, free from the restraints of human life seems magical. when i think about birds, i recall those magnetic poetry words that you could form into your own phrases. i came up with "Fly from here like a bird to Occassion" and it's been stuck in my mind ever since then.

water, water, water.....

I am thirsty today, the kind of thirsty that seems to nag at you all day until you end up downing 32 ounces of h2o. I've also been thinking a lot about water as I am writing a research paper on the cons of bottled water. The bottled water industry has become immense, and soon hopes to surpass the soda industry. Healthful for your body, yes. Healthful for the environment, no.

In landfills right now, there is over $1 billion worth of recycleable plastic. What did that case of Arrowhead water cost? $4.99? And say that those 24 individaul serving bottles lasted your family a week. Calculate the cost you throw away in a year, when you could use a refillable bottle that pays for itself. This bottle is a fun way to play around with the idea of a reuseable water bottle.

october is here!

I'm so excited that it's finally october. It means the leaves are changing, apples are ripening, and Halloween is on it's way. Time again to come up with a costume that will be a show stopper. Right now I'm leaning towards witch, all based around a killer green eye kohl I have and some false lashes I spotted a couple of weeks ago. MAC Cosmetics also has some intense looks here. Working on ideas for a vampy black dress, so I hope it can all come together.
